Andrea paced the cream carpet in her trailer, wishing sheâd been more demanding when it came to her own space, but since she didnât want anyone to call her a diva, sheâd declined an upgrade. Now, for the first time, she felt a little claustrophobic in here.
She knew she should just go home. They were finished for the day. Sheâd already sent Corey home, not wanting him questioning her about today. She was still in the clothes sheâd been wearing in the elevator scene, but it would only take her a minute to get changed.
Right now though, she needed to process what had happened today. She knew what sheâd tell the director or any of the writers if they dared to ask her why sheâd gone off script, but she also knew that it wasnât the truth.
She wiped a hand across her face as she turned and walked back towards the kitchen area. This had never happened to her before.
Yes, sheâd had crushes on her co-stars occasionally, but nothing had ever happened. This was a little different though, because the kiss was scripted. But still, it was no excuse for the way she behaved today.
A wave of nausea hit her. The table read for the next episode was tomorrow. What would that even be like?
If everyone was happy with the way today went, then they were going to want to keep that going. Theyâd want more, and although, Andrea knew that the writers wanted Sloane and Diana to get together, she didnât know how far they were going to take it.
That original thought, that idea for them to have an affair, could have been short-lived. Just an episode or two, alluding to them falling into bed together. But what if they wanted to run with this, because sheâd been so passionate, so consumed in that kiss? Then what would she do?
Andrea had felt bad enough about letting the only other woman sheâd kissed on camera believe that she was also a straight woman who definitely didnât have any emotional involvement in their kiss.
This time Hailey knew Andrea was gay, and Andrea knew that Hailey was too. Was she just reading into this? Was this a natural reaction to kissing another woman? A woman who Andrea could admit she was attracted to?
She stopped pacing, and then shook her head. âNo.â This was not normal. It was unprofessional.
If she had been in Haileyâs position, and a man had kissed her like that, completely ignoring the script for his own interests, she would have told him where to go. She would have demanded that the script be followed.
Andrea closed her eyes.
What if that was how Hailey felt right now? What if she felt blindsided by the way that Andrea had kissed her?
She sat on the couch and slid on her heels, hoping that Hailey hadnât left yet. She flung open her trailer door to go find out, and Hailey fell into her arms, just like she had in the elevator.
âShit,â Hailey said, her hands on Andreaâs shoulders to keep herself from falling.
